MUZAFFARABAD: A high-level meeting chaired by Poonch Division Commissioner Zaffar Mehmood Khan on Thursday reviewed implementation on National Action Plan (NAP) and all the deputy commissioner were directed to implement the NAP in true letter and spirit to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country. All the deputy commissioners and district police heads including other administrative officers who have presented their progress reports with regard to the implementation of NAP attended the meeting. They briefed the meeting about hurdles and reasons of all shortcomings. The commissioner said that the NAP was enforced by the government in the shape of an Act and was mandatory to be implemented in true letter and spirit, as the failure shall be treated as violation of law. He also directed all the security heads to take special measures of security in the wake of current escalation on Line of Control (LOC) to safeguard the people living near LoC and alert the civilian law enforcement agencies in these areas. The deputy commissioners were also directed to ensure the implementation of NAP at gross root level and all assistant commissioners and administrative officers at local level were directed to implement each and every clause of the NAP strictly.
