KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that monsoon season was a test case for the newly-inducted Sindh cabinet.
He exhorted the ministers, advisors and special assistants to perform their best as an integrated team to ensure delivery of apt services to the people of the province. He said that from precautionary measures to drainage of rain-water, every member of Sindh cabinet should stay alert and in full gear to tackle any flooding situation or emergency.
He also talked to the Sindh cabinet members who called on him at the Bilawal House, following their oath taking at the Governor’s House. He said that every cabinet member should be active and work in a unified manner to serve the masses and bring them out from poverty and unemployment.
Bilawal also stressed upon them to run their respective departments on merit to make good governance visible to the people. He congratulated the new cabinet members and hoped that they would come up to the confidence displayed in them by the party and the electorates.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Political Secretary to the Chairman Jameel Soomro were also present on the occasion. Sindh cabinet members who attended the meeting included Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sikander Mendhro, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Manzoor Wasan, Syed Nasir Shah, Mukesh Chawla, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, Muhammad Ali Malkani, Mumtza Jakhrani, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, Imdad Pitafi, Fayaz But, Suhail Anwar Syal, Saeed Ghani, Babar Afandi, Nadir Hussain Khowaja, Shamim Mumtaz, Taimoor Talpur, Qasim Naveed, Aabid Bhayo, Shahid Thaheem, Rehana Laghari, Umer Rehman Malik, Naveed Anthony and Burhan Chandio.
