LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said Ali Haider Gilani’s safe return to home was not only good news for the PPP and its workers but also for Pakistan.
Talking to the media along with former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani here at the latter’s residence, Bilwal said good news like the recovery of Ali Haider Gilani and Shahbaz Taseer boosted the morale of the countrymen.

He said this year proved to be a good year for the PPP as a new era had begun for the party after the return of Ali Haider Gilani and Shahbaz Taseer.
The PPP chairman said the party, its leadership and workers were happy and celebrating as “our brother (Ali Haider Gilani) had returned home after three years”.
Speaking on the occasion, Yusuf Raza Gilani said Afghan-US forces, in a joint operation, recovered his son for which they deserved appreciation.
He said he did not come to Lahore in morning as he had to appear before a court in Islamabad, adding that he respected the judiciary; he got his bail first and then came to Lahore to meet his son.
The former prime minister congratulated the nation, PPP leadership and workers the on safe return of his son after three years in captivity.
